Disney Chocolates ディズニーのチョコ

On Tuesday, I helped my mum set up a new fish tank for her pet goldfish (I used to work in a pet shop, and since I love animals so much, I remember a lot of what I learned there). As a thank you, my mum bought me these Disney chocolates!

I have had them once before. When I was on holidays with mum and my sister, I bought the Minnie Mouse tin when we stopped over at a lolly shop. They are quite yummy, though I think I am more excited about the tins than the chocolates : )

The Shopping Surprise of a Lifetime!

You may have already seen this, as it has been all over social media today, but I wanted to share it anyway!

Imagine walking through your local shopping centre, like you would any other normal day. But, there is something decidedly not normal happening. What would you do if you saw your favourite Disney character while out grocery shopping, or spending time with friends?

Now, if only they would visit us here in Australia!

The Goofy Movie

I have been in a pretty bad mood lately. I have had a lot going on that has been getting to me. But, one thing that always cheers me up is Disney.

Tonight, I decided to watch the Goofy movie again. I love Goofy very much, and ever since meeting Bill Farmer, I have loved Goofy even more!

This movie is a lot of fun, if you can get beyond the cheesy 90's music. Watching Goofy and Max navigating their relationship, and learning how to deal with each other, is quite interesting.

Sometimes I get annoyed with Max though. It takes him an awfully long time to realise that he has an amazing dad, that I am sure many people would really appreciate. And, who would trick their father in such a way, just for a concert?

Anyway, I really enjoy this movie. Goofy always manages to put a smile on my face, and there are plenty of Disney references to catch (look out for them in later entries in 'Scrump's Diszeption Sunday').

Do you like the Goofy movie?

Disney Hallmark Decorations

Well, Christmas is over now, and I promised that I would share some posts about the Disney gifts that I received.

We will start with these!

I had wanted these Disney Hallmark decorations as soon as I found out about them, but being $20 each, and right before Christmas, I couldn't afford them.

My sister knew how much I wanted them though, and also knew that my favourite design was Goofy, so she got him for me for Christmas!!!

Right after Christmas I tried to find the others, but I could not at my local Coles. The Coles where my mum works didn't have any left either. But, my sister managed to find me one at her local Coles, and bought Donald for me : )

One day I would love to complete the set of five, but for now I am pretty happy with what I have!

In the next post, I will show you the rest of the Disney gifts I received!!!

Darling Disney Duds

Well, hello there everyone! And welcome to Darling Disney Duds! Today, we will be looking at the Christmas 2014 Hong Kong Disneyland outfits of our favourite dogs, Goofy and Pluto!

Yuka's Disney Life, Tumblr

Goofy is dressed head to toe in very typical Christmas attire, isn't he? He is wearing a Santa hat, a snowflake jumper, and red pants. Of course, he is Goofy, so the pants have had a rip in them, and have had to be repaired!

I love the way Disney does Pluto's special outfits. He doesn't really wear clothes, so usually his seasonal outfits consist of a special hat, or a change to his collar. In this case, it is the latter. His collar tag looks very much like a home made Christmas ornament. It is a red circular tag, with his name and a cute border drawn on in white!

How much do you love these outfits!?

And remember, click on the link in the caption to see the source! The owner has many wonderful Disney photos that I am sure you will enjoy!

Meeting Bill Farmer!

Earlier this year, in September, I was lucky enough to be able to attend Sydney Oz Comic-con. The entire purpose of my attendance? To meet Bill Farmer, the voice of Goofy.

I decided to cosplay as Goofy, as I figured it would be a simple and comfortable cosplay. So, I made a Goofy hat headband, and wore an orange turtleneck, black vest and blue pants. And, I wore my hair up in double pony tails, with black ribbons tied around them to be his ears.

My day started early. My mum, sister and I arrived at the venue at about 7:30am, to wait to get in at 9am. Then, once we were in, my sister and I headed straight over to the token booth. She bought lots of tokens, for lots of different celebrities that were there, but I only bought one. A photo token for Bill Farmer.

Before the time slot for this photo though, he had an autograph session. So, I went and lined up with the item I wanted him to sign- my Goofy signature from Tokyo Disney Resort! He was wearing a t-shirt with Goofy snorkling on it, and over the top was an open Disney themed Hawaiian shirt.

He loved my cosplay! He said that in the Goofy voice. And, we had a small conversation about Disneybounding. His wife asked to take my photo, and of course I agreed! Bill Farmer was very excited to be signing a Goofy signature!

My Goofy and Bill Farmer signatures
After getting his signature, I also got a signature from Jim Cummings, AKA Winnie the Pooh. He told me to stay as sweet as honey.

This might sound weird, but after that entire experience I was deliriously happy. My mum and sister just thought that the whole thing was adorable. I have difficulty visually expressing excitement and happiness sometimes, so I think that they were just happy to see me smiling like an idiot.

There were a few hours between signatures and the photograph, so my sister (when she wasn't getting her own photos and signatures), mum and I wandered around the dealer's floor for the purpose of spending ridiculous amounts of money. This was easily achieved.

My purchases for the day- a Sorcerer Mickey plushie, Disney Traditions figure, Cheshire Cat and comic, 'Mickey Mouse Outwits the Phantom Blot'
Then came photo time! I lined up, still really excited, and when it was my turn, Bill Farmer remembered me! I suppose because I was dressed up as his character. While I was getting my photo taken, his wife took photos of us together too. I felt so happy and flattered that they appreciated my effort so much.

Bill Farmer, he was so nice!
All in all, the day was exhausting and amazing, all at once!
